Big Surf Hits North Shore

Drove up the coast and got to Turtle Bay to see that it was pretty heavy and big.  Two sets of tow-in teams were on the outside sets at Turtle Bay.  As you can see there were some nice clean waves.  Reports called for 15-20ft sets but the great part was the wind was non existent so it made it pretty clean.  The inside at Turtle Bay was big but messy and there were only two takers.  Both seemed to be getting pounded pretty good.

Drove down and saw a few sets at Sunset then stopped at Pipeline and Backdoor.  It was packed but some nice sets came through.  It was not consistently huge but there were some big sets every 8-10min or so.  It was just a clean day.  Backdoor was going off too.

I checked Laniakea but it looked pretty messy.  It was big but looked like a tough paddle.  Ended up hoping in at Pua'ena Point and caught some really fun waves.  The sets on the way outside of the point were good.  Clean and some head high and some push behind them.  It was crowded on the inside but the outside there were not many of us.  Stoked.  Good day.
